I have been working on a project for Automat - a company the uses a group of retired cigarette vending machines to sell art instead of cigarettes. They are very retro and very cool and come in great colors and designs. There are over 100 machines in business all over the US and a few other countries. My work was selected so I have completed the first 50 pieces. The final product has a cellophane wrapper and will be added to machines in different locations. Each one sells for $5.00 - so the lucky buyer gets an original piece of at for five bucks! This first series is called Little Houses and I used the song Little Boxes by Malvina Reynolds for inspiration. Here are photos in chronological order from plain wood blocks when I just started paintings to the final wrapped product.
