what's old is new...

I have had very little time these past few weeks to work on anything new because of a few commissions - which I am extremely thankful for.

So I reviewed my current offering of fine art prints and pulled up a  few that I created a few years ago but still like very much. So...why not share again  - because for many of you who are new to this page you may not have seen them. This is my espresso floral collection. I think these would fit right in with a dining room space, a kitchen or family room. Placed together as a set  makes a statement. Or what about going up a stairway?

Fine art prints are available here on Imagekind.

Have peaceful New Year and much happiness in 2014.

thinking about 2014

Yeah I know - kinda early but on my mind and I think it's good to have goals. No matter how big or small we need things to look forward to...or challenges to take on or ways to make improvements in our lives. The end of the year is a good time to evaluate.

So here are a few things I have planned for 2014. And a photo of Cabo I took earlier this year but winter makes me think of summer.

1. show my original artworks in a new gallery
2. design something brilliant! (how's that for vague?)
3. Go to Ireland (already bought tickets. Check)
4. go to the coast for a weekend...someplace we have never stayed. Local.
5. save more
6. Do a drawing a day for each day of 2014 (more to come on this one.

Any ideas for you yet?

two new views

Two new landscapes to add to my collection of abstract landscapes. These are 20x30 - perfect for tall ceilings, a wall that follows the stairs...a family room looking for color and pop. I'm definitely showing a color theme here in this group - teal and soft pink balance with cool green and yellow. As artists it's hard to avoid the colors we like and challenging to use the colors we don't care for so I certainly fall into the trap of keeping to a collection of my favorite hues. I will work on expanding it - I promise. I will be setting them up on Imagekind and Artist Rising as fine art prints.

Here are Deconstructed Landscape 3 & 4.

PS I love you.

PS stands for Palm Springs. It's my perfect getaway. All things I love come together like good design. food, inventive cocktails, palm trees (oh yes) and sun. We returned yesterday - here are some photos for you to enjoy. I may make some of them into small prints - let me know if you would be interested.

And how was your T-Day holiday? Restive I hope- Festivus is just around the corner.
