Thinking of Spring

I was inspired by the fact that spring is only a few months away and that cold gray weather outside won't last forever. Here are five new bright retro blossoms in very fun colors. I have them on Etsy, Society6, Artist Rising & Imagekind.

Desert Horizon

Now I want to go to Santa Fe...like yesterday! That's the inspiration behind this piece -  Desert Horizon. It's 8x10 on wood panel and as always it's available as a poster on Artist Rising, Imagekind & Fine Art America.

Meandering River

Here's another original landscape - 8x8 acrylic on wood panel. You might wonder why I always paint so small. First - because my style just works better and I can scan my originals on my home scanner instead of having to pay way too much to take it to be scanned. I scan each at 600 dpi and open it in Photoshop - change the size to 300 dpi at 24x24 size in Tiff format and it works. Voila! I now have a large file that can be uploaded to my poster sites and offered as large posters.

Earth & Sky

I completed this today. It took several iterations because I just couldn't get the foreground right. Finally - I quickly brushed on (lightly) some yellow paint and for some reason that worked! Then I tried to add trees and didn't like it so instead there is just a hint of trees and I like it a lot better. I set it up as a poster on Artist Rising, Imagekind & Fine Art America. The original is also available for $80.00. It's 6x6 on wood panel. 

Open Horizon

I completed this piece today. Soft acrylic colors on wood panel - 8x10 original size. This landscape could truly be anywhere and it's calm colors fit in any space. I added this to Artist Rising, ImageKind and Fine Art America as posters. 

First One...

It's my first painting of 2013, Spring Wildflowers...the first of many landscapes as I figure it all out. I was so excited after I completed the clouds on this piece that I did a happy cloud dance. That's how happy I was. Posters available on Imagekind, Artist Rising and Fine Art America.
